We believe missions means multiplication.
Praise the Lord for the growing missions outreach of The Chapel
on the Rock (New Life Baptist Church.) We started two new
mission churches in 2003 and had a part in many more:
1. Recent Bible college graduates from our church, Jonathan
and Wendy Dancourt, were commissioned in March 2003 to begin
a new church in the unreached town of Cartavio in northern
Peru. They receive 1/2 of their monthly support from our church.
2. In 2003, our deacon, German Irrazabal, was called to pastor
a small struggling congregation in Vitarte, Lima. He is building
up a strong church.
3. Jose Zapata,
a deacon from our church, directed many volunteers from
our
church in holding Bible studies for children and adults in
a new shanty town on the outskirts of Lima. In December
2003,
we baptized the first 7 members of the new church that is
forming, the Rock of Manchay Baptist Church. Offerings from
the States and Peru have been invested in building the second
story on one of the believer's homes to use as a chuch auditorium.

4. May 23, 2004,
the Chapel on the Rock Baptist Church ordained Deacon Jose
Zapata, to the pastoral ministry. Jose has served our church
and has been Dave's right-hand man as an unofficial assistant
pastor for the past 8 years, as well as establishing the new
mission work in Manchay. In June he accepted the call to pastor
a Spanish-speaking church in Ocala, Florida.
5 . In March 2004 we commissioned another recent Bible college
graduate from our church, Zarela Funegra, as a missionary
with the Bible Centered Ministries of Peru for a special ministry
to children.
6 . Our church has supported Francisco Acho, a Peruvian missionary
planting churches in Bogota, Colombia for the past 5 years.
7 . Our church supports Beto Mayta, a Peruvian missionary
from a sister church who is leaving shortly to reach the Muslims
in Spain.
8 . Our church also supports a Peruvian missionary from a
sister church who left May 9th to return to India. Evelyn
traveled with her to India last year to survey the possibilities
of beginning a pro-life ministry there.
9 . Our church supports the mission outreach of the New Life
Prenatal Center, a Pregnancy Care Center ministry that Evelyn
began 6 years ago. 15 women from our church work there as
volunteers. Click here to read
about the history of the work, special blessings, and much
interesting information.
10 . 15 people from our church studied either full or part
time at Bible Colleges last year. Make that 18 if you count
our own 3 children! Pray for the impact they are making on
this world. Go into all the world and preach the gospel to
every creature! Click here

Seminary.
11. Our son, Jonathan, and his wife Angela, were accepted
by missionaries with ABWE in 2001 and are now on pre-field
ministry, preparing to return and help expand the mission
outreach of the Chapel on the Rock. Can you help them leave
soon? They now have 87% of their support. Jon was ordained
to the gospel ministry on October 24, 2004. They plan
to leave for language school in January 2005. Click
