Dear Praying Family,
We had a wonderful service today at the Living Hope Baptist
Church. As we mentioned in previous months we have been
working on the organization of the church. Last week we
had our first full business meeting and received 34 members.
| Our congregation voted to elect a full time Peruvian
pastor. Jorge and his wife, Jackie, have participated
in several other church plants and pastoral ministries.
They have been very involved in our church since the
beginning. Jorge studies at our seminary. They have
a real love for the Lord and commitment to ministry.
Please pray for them as they begin this new role. They
have 3 kids and a 4th on the way. Finances will be
tight as the church is not yet able to offer them a
completely adequate salary. |

| The church also confirmed my dad and myself as pastors
and elected 2 deacons. We voted to commission our first
missionaries! Robert and Zarela work with Bible Centered
Ministries and primarily do evangelism with children
in cooperation with churches around the city of Lima.
They have been a part of our church since the beginning
and are in charge of our children’s program.
We approved a budget that includes supporting our pastor
and missionaries. |

| Today we had 79 people at our Sunday service where
we received Jorge as pastor and commissioned Robert
and Zarela as missionaries. I preached from Jonah on
obeying the call of God and encouraged the believers
to walk worthy of their calling. |
|
Our growing family:
We had our 5 month prenatal checkup and the big news is…
it’s a boy!! Needless to say we’re excited and grateful
to God for this child. Alison hasn’t quite figured out what
she’s in for, but I’m sure she’ll make a great
big sister.
